Job summary

Arnold Walter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hazlet, NJ, seeks a dependable Laundry / Housekeeping Aide to maintain clean, safe resident spaces. You will support both housekeeping and laundry by handling rooms, linens, and clothing with infection-control best practices.

The role requires 1+ year in housekeeping or laundry, attention to detail, and reliability. It offers a PRN schedule with hourly pay, and a collaborative team environment within a skilled nursing facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of housekeeping and/or laundry experience.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Rehabilitation Center, or Long-Term Care setting preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and resident safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a positive, professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, offices, and common spaces.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and perform routine cleaning of washers, dryers, lint traps, and dispensers.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and residents' clothing.
• Label residents' clothing and personal belongings upon admission.
• Follow infection control, safety, and facility policies.
• Follow established laundry procedures and safety protocols.
• Replenish supplies and maintain clean, organized housekeeping and laundry areas.
