Job summary

Qualifications

• Must maintain sanitation and cleanliness of laundry areas.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning chemicals and procedures.
• Should be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of 5 feet.
• Must follow work schedules and coordinate daily laundry services with nursing staff.
• Report accidents/incidents to supervisor and maintain safety protocols.
• Wear and use PPE when handling chemicals or heavy loads.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily laundry schedules to ensure timely service.
• Coordinate laundry services with nursing staff in resident areas.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary work areas at all times.
• Properly store and return equipment after shifts.
• Distribute clean laundry during emergencies as instructed by supervisors.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
