Qualifications

• Prior laundry or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy.
• Willingness to work in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect soiled linens, towels, blankets, resident clothing, and other washable items from designated areas.
• Sort laundry by fabric type, color, level of soil, and infection control procedures.
• Operate commercial washers, dryers, irons, steamers, folding equipment, and other laundry equipment safely.
• Measure and use detergents, disinfectants, stain removers, and other laundry chemicals per instructions.
• Inspect laundry for stains or damage and handle items requiring special care.
• Pre-treat stained items and wash, dry, fold, and organize clean linens and clothing.
• Return clean items to residents or designated locations and maintain supplies.
• Label and identify resident clothing and belongings; keep area clean and sanitary.
• Follow PPE, infection control, OSHA, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Assist with other housekeeping or environmental services duties as assigned.
