Job summary

Lakeshore Village Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a laundry aide to perform general laundry and housekeeping duties in a nursing home setting. You will ensure a steady supply of clean linen for residents and maintain sanitary practices to keep residents comfortable and safe.

The role requires reading basic directions, basic math, and problem-solving abilities. Prior experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clean linen for residents.
• Maintain linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident’s clothing items as needed.
• Sort, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follow sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.
