HCA Healthcare is seeking a Laboratory Assistant PRN in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The role involves venipuncture, specimen collection and processing, patient registration, and data entry within established procedures.

You will support the laboratory team to ensure timely, accurate testing and reporting in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include handling clerical duties, maintaining compliance with safety policies, and providing excellent patient and family communication.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy or related certification preferred.
• Experience with specimen collection and processing.
• Familiarity with LIS and specimen labeling.

Responsabilités

• Collect specimens via venipuncture and finger sticks per patient needs.
• Process and prepare specimens for testing and referral labs.
• Register and enter orders accurately in the information system.
• Maintain clear documentation and protect patient confidentiality.
• Educate patients about collection procedures and consent requirements.
