You will perform venipunctures/finger sticks across age groups, operate the LIS, and support patient and physician communication. PRN role emphasizes reliability in a fast-paced lab setting.

• Requires 2+ years’ experience performing registration and clerical duties.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of specimen collection and testing requirements.
• Proficient in venipunctures and finger sticks across age groups.
• Uses the laboratory information system for specimen processing.
• Performs registration and order entry with accuracy and timeliness.
• Labels specimens according to testing order requirements.
• Centrifuges and aliquots specimens as needed.
• Prepares specimens for courier pickup and notes physician orders.
• Maintains records and follows safety regulations.
• Reviews OSR and pending referrals; acts to resolve issues.
• Assists with duties such as faxing, phones, and handling reports.
