Job summary

Spring Mountain Treatment Center in Las Vegas, NV seeks a PRN Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and specimen collection in an inpatient setting. The role includes accurate labeling, proper documentation, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Acceptable phlebotomy training program.
• Phlebotomy certification required upon hire (Laborary Assistant or Point of Care analyst license may be substituted).
• New hires must obtain BLS Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Consistently draws blood competently and expediently with minimal patient discomfort.
• Labels and records all test tubes at bedside and logs procedures.
• Dispose all sharps in a rigid sharps container.
• Maintain venipuncture trays, clean work areas and notify Lab leadership for ordering.
• Handle paperwork that might be exposed to blood or body fluids.
