Job summary

Apalachee Center, Inc. is seeking a PRN Patient Care Assistant in Tallahassee, FL. The role involves supervising patients, assisting with activities of daily living, and supporting treatment plan implementation under professional staff direction.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of related patient care experience, and current CPR, First Aid, and CPI certifications, plus a valid driver’s license for designated auto driver status.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain current CPR, First Aid, and CPI certifications.

Overview:

Provides patient supervision, care, and activities services in accordance with professional staff direction and unit procedures. Assists patients in activities of daily living, assists in implementing treatment plans and provides supportive contact with patients.

ESSENTIAL/CORE JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• By the first of each month, provides the Scheduling Coordinator with availability for the following month.
• Works a minimum of three (3) shifts or one (1) weekend per week and at least one holiday per year.
• Willingly and cooperatively works on units assigned. Demonstrates a positive, supportive, respectful attitude while working.
• Provides patient supervision, care and services as assigned.
• Maintains compliance with required training in accordance with established time frames on Relias.
• Other duties as required. Complies with changes in duties and assignments in a positive and cooperative manner.
