Job summary

CarolinaEast Health System in New Bern, NC is seeking a Staff Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations. Under supervision of pharmacists, you will enter and fill prescriptions, help ensure accurate dispensing, and maintain inventory to prevent outages.

You will process routine tasks, assist with controlled substances documentation, and strive to deliver excellent patient service in a busy retail pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

Job Summary

To perform pharmacy tasks as assigned by the Staff Pharmacists or Pharmacy Director/Manager. Duties and responsibilities are to accurately and systematically enter and fill prescriptions under the supervision of the Pharmacist within acceptable turnaround times. Ensures the items are reordered to prevent inventory outages. Puts away daily order with accuracy and in a timely fashion to prevent excess inventory. Accepts responsibility for the daily completion of each assigned task. Accurately follows established procedures for the dispensing, control, and documentation of controlled substances.
