Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for in-home health care in the Altoona, PA area.

The role offers flexible scheduling (FT/PT/PRN) and competitive pay with daily pay options, while emphasizing one-on-one patient care and patient dignity. The SLP will evaluate and treat hearing, swallowing, and language impairments, perform periodic reevaluations, and educate families and caregivers on decison making and therapy strategies to improve communication and quality

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology/Speech Therapy is required.
• Current unrestricted license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Current CPR/AED/BLS/First Aid certification.
• Reliable transportation to/from care sites and/or work locations.
• One year of professional SLP experience in a home health or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home programs for treating patients' hearing, swallowing, and language impairments.
• Evaluate patients' speech and language abilities and perform periodic reevaluations.
• Plan and provide rehabilitative services for speech and language conditions and administer diagnostic/therapeutic techniques.
• Record treatment types and progress in notes and maintain patient records.
• Educate caregivers and family members in methods to assist patients.
