Job Summary

Physicians care for patients by diagnosing and treating injuries and illnesses, performing physical exams, medical histories, diagnostic tests, and recommending treatment plans.

Education and Experience

• M.D. from an accredited medical school
• Successful completion of residency at an accredited healthcare institution

Licensure and Certification

• Current M.D. or D.O. license from North Carolina
• Board certification in primary care or related field
• Certification in BCLS, ACLS as required
• Current DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing

Essential Functions

• Provide primary medical care within the standard of care
• Order tests, refer to specialists, analyze reports, and diagnose conditions
• Prescribe medications and treatments, discuss side effects and allergies
• Advise on lifestyle and diet changes
• Adhere to policies, quality standards, and maintain patient confidentiality
• Record complete and timely medical records
