Advocate Health is seeking a PRN Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to deliver flexible inpatient coverage on the Wake Region Hospital Medicine team. The role supports PTO, FMLA, illnesses, and census surges across multiple Wake Region locations in North Carolina.

The ideal candidate graduates from an accredited APN/PA program, holds NC licensure, and possesses prescriptive privileges and DEA registration along with BLS certification.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Nurse Practitioners must hold a Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Nursing Practice with ACNP or AGACNP board certification.
• Physician Assistants must hold NCCPA certification; CAQ certification preferred.
• Current NC license to practice as NP or PA.
• Current prescriptive privileges and DEA registration.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers through AHA, valid at least 90 days beyond start date.

Aufgaben

• Perform initial and follow-up medical histories and physical examinations.
• Conduct daily inpatient assessments and ongoing patient management.
• Evaluate, admit, consult, and manage hospitalized adult medicine patients.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Order, interpret, and manage laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic studies.
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions within scope of practice.
• Perform minor medical procedures as appropriate and within credentialing guidelines.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing, pharmacy, case management, specialists, and ancillary departments.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and discharge planning activities.
• Document all patient encounters, assessments, procedures, and treatment plans accurately and timely in the EMR.
• Serve as a patient advocate while promoting quality, safety, and evidence-based care.
• Adapt quickly to varying practice locations, provider teams, and patient care environments.
