Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital is seeking a PRN Maintenance Worker to perform general work on hospital grounds and properties, including light carpentry, painting, lawn care, and minor mechanical repairs. You will join a multidisciplinary team focused on safe, clean facilities and patient comfort.

Typical shift is 7:00am–3:30pm, with hours that may vary with staffing. Requirements include a valid driver's license; a Technical Certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform light carpentry (patching drywall, etc.).
• Experience with painting, lawn care, and small equipment maintenance preferred.
• Read product instructions and MSDS; use common hand tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform light carpentry, painting, lawn and grounds maintenance.
• Repair minor mechanical issues on hospital properties.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of hospital grounds and exterior areas.
