Job summary

HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital seeks an Environmental Services Technician (PRN) to perform cleaning tasks across the campus, including patient rooms and shared spaces, with emphasis on sanitation and safety.

Responsibilities include following hospital policies, announcing entry to patient rooms, protecting equipment, and handling biohazardous waste per infection control guidelines, while supporting a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two years’ experience providing environmental services in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Ability to read, write and converse in English required.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services as directed with consideration for Patients, their family and friends.
• Follow all hospital and departmental policies and procedures related to the housekeeping function.
• Observe patient’s rights by announcing yourself before entering a patients room.
• Protect physical assets used on the job, use supplies sparingly, account for them accurately, protect and maintain all equipment used.
• Follow all departmental procedures when handling biohazardous waste, ensuring that all red bags are tied off and/or taped as per Infection Control policies and procedures.
