Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapist for PRN days to support patients at home. You will evaluate, plan and implement interventions to improve movement and function, with reexaminations every 30 days and discharge planning as needed. The role offers orientation pay and a versatile benefits package.

Eligible candidates hold a state PT license, CAPTE-accredited degree and CPR certification; home health experience is preferred. Travel and patient-centered care are essential.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• One year of related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care.
• If less than one year of experience, require approval from regional clinical leaders with mentoring/residency.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations (every 30 days minimum), modify interventions as necessary, and perform discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.
