Job summary

Spearfish Canyon Healthcare in Spearfish, SD is seeking aPhysical Therapist (PT) to join our PRN team. We provide education on dementia care, wound care, vestibular rehab, and more as part of our commitment to high-quality resident care.

This role requires a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with an active PT license in the state. Experience with geriatric patients is a plus, and candidates must complete orientation and health screenings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current and active PT license in the state of employment.
• Experience with geriatric patients is a plus.
• Orientation required by company policy.
• Health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Evidence of identity and eligibility within 3 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate a Resident’s condition and develop an appropriate physical rehabilitation plan.
• Help Residents improve mobility.
• Assist Residents with tasks and monitor performance.
• Inform Residents about expectations during recovery.
• Maintain resident confidence and protect facility operations by keeping information confidential.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants when required.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and follow infection-control policies.
• Comply with applicable laws and professional requirements.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary team in resident care.
