Summary
Responsible for the delivery of patient care in their area of specialty through the process of assessment, evaluation, diagnosing, recognition and prevention of adverse events, planning, and implementation. Performs responsibilities in four areas of practice: clinician, teacher, leadership, and professional development. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care delivery, and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Continuously monitors quality patient care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. Provides leadership in the practice location. Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA) are required to function consistent with Florida Law. The Advanced Provider II may practice in multiple places of service, e.g., has outpatient and inpatient responsibilities. May perform OP procedures. Covers practice call; may work evenings & weekends. Cares for urgent patients, often in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment.
Graduate from a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program required.
1 year experience in area of specialty required.
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License required.
BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) required. ACLS may be required as identified/area of specialty. Certification by the America College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) and American Certification Council (ACC) is required for Nurse Midwives.
