Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for a PRN “As Needed” role in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. The position offers a base salary plus hourly incentives for advanced level and approved certifications. PRN status means flexible hours across hospital and ambulatory settings.

Responsibilities include nursing process care, assessments, medication administration, education, and participation in quality improvement activities, with CE requirements for IL licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred.
• RN licensed in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention and evaluation of care.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per policies and standards.
• Ensures accurate and comprehensive documentation per standards.
• Develops and executes patient plans of care as prescribed by physicians and policy.
