Westminster Village Inc. is seeking a PRN Floor Care Specialist to help on an as-needed basis. You will maintain clean, sanitary spaces by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and other duties to keep resident areas inviting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Previous floor care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep floors and carpets, collect dust, dirt and debris and properly dispose of the collected material.
• Wet mop floors and place wet floor signs on entry points to be mopped.
• Prepare proper amounts of mop solution and refresh water solution as prescribed.
• Buff floors with a buffing machine.
• Strip floors and apply wax as directed.
• Prepare floor stripper and wax for areas to be stripped and waxed.
• Empty hamper bags of soiled linen into laundry carts in the soiled linen room.
• Assist in moving furniture.
• Change mop water in the soiled utility rooms at prescribed times and keep entry ways dry.
• Keep vestibules and entry areas clear of leaves and windblown debris.
• Collect garbage and wheel it out to the dumpster.
• Clean various areas as needed.
• Familiarize yourself with location and use of firefighting equipment, alarms and disaster procedures.
• Attend educational meetings planned for this position.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
