Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Network is seeking a PRN licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to join our Regional Speech Department as a Float SLP. This role offers a chance to practice across multiple acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings throughout the greater St.

Louis region with an interdisciplinary team. Coverage areas include inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and acute care therapy services across Saint Louis area facilities.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility for licensure.
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Current BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to travel between assigned locations within the SSM Health Rehabilitation Network.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and patient needs.
• Provide evidence-based speech-language pathology services across acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings.
• Assess and treat swallowing, communication, voice, and cognitive-linguistic disorders.
• Direct and supervise discipline-specific therapy services as appropriate.
• Design functional treatment programs to promote safe discharge and return to meaningful daily activities.
• Educate patients, caregivers, students, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement, program development, and continued professional growth activities.
