Job summary

Mena Regional Health System in Mena, AR is seeking a patient care helper to support the nursing staff with routine patient care and documentation. You will assist with transfers, daily care, hygiene, and maintain supply inventories and cleanliness.

The role requires BLS/CPR certification and may include evening or weekend shifts. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and up to one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient transfer, daily care, and other basic hygiene duties.

• Maintains standards required by regulatory entities.
• Provides one-on-one patient care to prevent harm to verifiable patients when needed.
• Responsible for assisting in admission, discharge and transport of patients.
• Providing patients with emotional support.
• Monitor patients' vital signs.
• Detecting changes in condition of patients and alerting licensed staff.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
• Can be assigned to all units as needs arise.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
