Job summary

Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to join our team in a PRN role. The incumbent will identify physiological mechanisms behind physical activity and apply expertise to improve health, including rehabilitation for heart disease and chronic conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, health & fitness, corporate wellness or related degree.
• Minimum 1 year experience in implementing a wellness program, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, or group exercise leadership with experience in Patient Assessment, Exercise Testing, Exercise Prescription, Exercise Training and Leadership, Education and Behavior Change, and Legal and Professional Considerations.
• Proficiency in utilizing effective coaching techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyze physiological responses to physical activity.
• Design, implement, and monitor personalized exercise programmes for rehabilitation and fitness.
• Provide guidance and counselling for athletes and individuals in sports training.
• Assist in rehabilitation of patients with cardiovascular diseases, chronic illnesses, or disabilities.
• Educate patients on exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle choices to improve health outcomes.
