Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to join the PRN team at Memorial Hermann Texas International Endoscopy Center. The role focuses on scrub tech duties and sterile processing, ensuring high standards of instrument sterilization and surgical support.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Completion of an accredited Endoscopy Technician or Surgical Technology certificate/associate program is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
  • Certification such as CRCST or CFER is preferred, but not always required.
  • Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
  • Ensure all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, maintained, and stored.
  • Assist surgical team by anticipating needs during procedures.
  • Maintain sterile technique and infection control policies.
  • Perform decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of instruments.
  • Monitor sterilizer cycles and document quality assurance checks.
  • Support room turnover and restocking of surgical supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and SPD staff for seamless operations.
  • Follow facility policies, safety regulations, and accreditation standards.

Memorial Hermann Texas International Endoscopy Center is a premier outpatient surgical facility dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a safe and efficient environment. Our center features 1 Operating Room and 3 Treatment Rooms, equipped with advanced technology that enables our surgeons to perform a variety of procedures in the specialty area of Gastroenterology. We are seeking a Endoscopy Technician with experience in both scrub tech duties and sterile processing to join our PRN team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about maintaining the highest standards of surgical support and instrument sterilization.


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
  • Ensure all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, maintained, and stored

  • Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control policies

Required Experience:
