Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a PRN EMS Education Trainer to develop and deliver the educational component of the EMS education program. Responsibilities include maintaining PHI, complying with UH policies, and coordinating with administrators and clinical staff.

The role requires at least 5 years of municipal EMS service, Ohio EMS Instructor Paramedic level, EMT-Paramedic completion, and a strong background in Fire & Emergency Services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of municipal EMS service.
• Ohio EMS Instructor Paramedic Level.
• Completion of an EMT-Paramedic Program.
• Background in Fire & Emergency Services.
• NIMS Compliant.
• EMS Special Topic Instructor.
• CPR Instructor.
• ACLS Instructor.
• Demonstrated writing and speaking skills.
• Ability to establish good rapport with Administrators, Physicians, nurses and others involved in pre-hospital emergency care.

A Brief Overview

Responsible for development and delivery of the educational component of the EMS education program, in accordance with the essentials identified within the application for accreditation and the objectives of the program, for the maintenance, and ordering of minor equipment and supplies for use in the program.

What You Will Do

• Develops students and EMS programs thru the educational process

• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Work Experience

• Emergency or acute care experience. (Required)
• Education and/or supervisory experience. (Required)
