Qualifications

• Requires ADN or diploma in nursing.
• New hires must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• BLS/CPR and RN licensure required.
• 1+ year acute care experience preferred.
• Preferred certification in specialty

Responsibilities

• Perform and document initial and ongoing patient/family assessments.
• Develop, communicate, and update individualized plans of care including discharge planning.
• Provide safe, patient-centered care respecting autonomy, dignity and diversity.
• Recognize emergencies and take appropriate clinical action.
• Carry out physician orders accurately and timely.
• Complete care and documentation within required timeframes.
• Administer medications/treatments safely and perform technical skills per policy.
• Evaluate patient responses and revise the plan of care with the healthcare team.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to other team members.
• Serve as a clinical resource and support training/education of staff and students.
• Maintain current clinical knowledge and adhere to standards.
• Function in relief charge/resource roles as requested.
