Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
  • Mid to fluent ASL skills preferred, knowledge of Deaf Culture is a plus.

We are hiring for:

PRN Direct Support Professional / DSP / PAHrtners Deaf Services

Type: Regular

Provides support for individuals and/or groups of persons with disabilities in the community. Assists the person(s) receiving services in identifying and communicating his or her requests and needs for services and supports. Implements services and supports to address the person’s goals and desired outcomes as identified through each person’s Centered Plan. Seeks to understand the individuals in the context of their personal history, their social and family networks, and their hopes and dreams for the future. Relies on direction and supervision to accomplish the job.

We are offering PRN or AS NEEDED positions with MULTIPLE AVAILABLE SCHEDULES In MULTIPLE LOCATIONS!

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

  • Base pay set by facility. Based on education and experience.

Schedule: This position will be an as-needed position to cover available shifts. Staff will be put on a list to pick up open shifts that are available.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Health and Safety Procedures
  • Assist with People Supported Development
  • Assist with Person Supported Community Life
  • Provide Support to team members and supervisors
  • Assist with person-centered plan and outcomes
  • Assist with medical requests
  • Assist with data collection and reporting

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid drivers’ license
  • Mid to fluent level in American Sign Language, ASL, skills (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Deaf Culture (preferred)

Physical requirements to perform essential functions of the job include:

  • Lift 25lbs-50lbs vertically from the floor
  • Horizontally transfer 25lbs a distance of 25 feet
  • Horizontally transfer 50lbs with assistance
  • Squat and bend

PAHrtners Deaf Services

PAHrtners Deaf Services is a division of RHA Health Services. Founded in 1989, RHA began as a small provider of support services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in North Carolina. Over the years, RHA has expanded to include a broad range of disability services and continues to add other types of services across multiple states to meet communities' needs. RHA has also added high-quality behavioral health services to support people with a wide variety of mental health and substance use needs as well as support services for those who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing, DHH.
