Job summary

Cross Creek Hospital in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Dietary Aide to support our inpatient dining program. You will assist with routine food preparation, serving and sanitation, and ensure meals meet approved menus and quality standards. Shifts may run 6am-2:30pm and/or 11am-7:30pm.

We value reliability and adherence to food safety procedures and state regulations. A high school diploma or equivalent and ServSafe certification are preferred, with opportunities for growth within our hospital

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• ServSafe certification required or preferred where mandated by state/facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks related to clean up and sanitation of kitchen, dining or serving areas.
• Properly prepare, serve and store food in accordance with facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with state or federal regulations.
• Prepare foods according to standardized recipes and approved menu.
• Utilize service methods and food handling techniques to ensure quality.
• Understand and apply the sanitation procedures needed to provide a safe and healthy environment.
• Adhere to menu compliance, special diet compliance and report any dietary non-compliance, concern or complaint of patients to dietician, supervisor or manager.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Overview

Cross Creek Hospital in Austin, Texas, is a respected provider of mental health services for adolescents, adults, and seniors of all genders. Our hospital, located in the Walnut Creek area of north Austin, serves individuals who are struggling with depression, bipolar disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other mental health concerns. We also treat individuals who have a primary mental health diagnosis and a co-occurring substance use disorder. Our inpatient options include age-appropriate programs for adults and seniors. At the outpatient level, we offer separate programs for adolescents and adults.

Hours can be 6am-2:30pm and/or 11am-7:30pm.

Our Dietary Aides are responsible for routine food preparation and delivery services of cold or hot foods in the facility.
