Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified by ARDMS or ARRT(S) as required.
• Registries needed: Abdomen (AB) or OB/GYN (OB/GYN).
• BLS certification is required.
• Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or General Ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders for assigned patients.
• Assist Radiologist in invasive procedures.
• Evaluate exam quality and adjust technique for efficiency.
• Support Patient-Centered Care philosophy and meet patient needs.
• Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor or engineer.
• Operate Radiology computer system for entering exams and supplies.
