Job summary

BJC Outpatient Imaging is seeking a Diagnostic Technologist I for a PRN position at a brand-new imaging center in Sunset Hills, MO. You will perform radiographic examinations, deliver quality images, and ensure patient safety under the Radiology Medical Director's guidance.

Requirements include ARRT Radiography certification, state licensure, and BLS within 60 days. Preferred: 5+ years radiography experience and an associate degree in radiology.

Qualifications

• ARRT radiography certification with active registration.
• State licensure requirement in the practicing state.
• BLS certification within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum 5 years radiography technologist experience.
• Associate degree in radiology or graduate of a two-year program.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations per imaging protocols.
• Produce high-quality images for physician interpretation.
• Verify orders, review patient history, and prepare patients.
• Apply ALARA to minimize radiation exposure.
• Administer contrast media and perform venipuncture as needed.
• Maintain documentation and ensure exam-room readiness.
• Assist with fluoroscopic and interventional procedures as required.
• Educate patients and collaborate with the imaging team.
