What You'll Do: The Dental Assistant provides quality patient care and assists the doctor during procedures. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with dental procedures, taking directions from the doctor, performing patient evaluations, taking and developing X-rays, and performing laboratory duties.
  • Maintaining the doctor's schedule and patient flow to ensure no patient wait time, being present and ready at all shift times.
  • Reviewing patient charts, logging data, transcribing notes, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and following safety policies.
  • Promoting services and educating patients, verifying health histories, completing checklists, and preparing operatory areas.
  • Sterilizing equipment, assisting with lab cases, monitoring supplies, and supporting staff as needed.

What You'll Need:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: One year of dental office experience.
  • Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent training and experience.

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Computer skills, preferably with electronic medical records.
  • Ability to multitask, recognize safety hazards, and work as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods.
