Position Summary
  • The Clinical Nurse 2 is a full partner on the healthcare team, practicing safely within the professional practice model.
  • Possesses the knowledge, skills, and attitude to meet professional nursing standards as per the position description.
  • Exhibits UPHS behavioral competencies aligned with its mission, embedded in practice domains.
  • Provides patient care independently, applying the nursing process and accountable for assigned patients, ranging from infants to elderly.
  • Demonstrates competencies in CQI, Evidence-Based Practice, Leadership, Person and Family Centered Care, Professionalism, Safety, Technology/Informatics, and Teamwork.
  • Works closely with the interprofessional team to coordinate care, focusing on individualized, culturally sensitive, and age-appropriate care.
  • Seeks and provides feedback to improve clinical practice and aligns nursing impact with organizational goals.

  • Evaluates and integrates current evidence with clinical expertise and patient preferences.

Credentials
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
  • BLS/CPR for healthcare providers per AHA standards.
  • ACLS preferred.
  • Registered Nurse license for PA (Required).
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Required).
  • BSN from an accredited school plus 15+ months of relevant experience and Nurse Residency completion, if applicable.
