Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a CT Technologist to join our Radiology CT Scan Services in Burleson, TX as a PRN position. The role involves explaining procedures, selecting correct anatomical targets and performing CT imaging for ER patients, while ensuring safety, accuracy and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology (required).
• Associate Degree (preferred).
• 1 year radiologic technologist experience with ARRT-CT (required) or no experience with ARRT-CT (required).
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) required.
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) required or CT-eligible within 12 months.
• CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologists Sonography (TDH or TMB) required.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care (required).

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients or guardians prior to and during exam and image the correct area per protocols.
• Perform complex CT imaging including age-related criteria and developmental considerations.
• Image processing, assess quality, troubleshoot, and adjust techniques as needed.
• Send and transfer images to PACS.
• Maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards between patients.
• Prepare exam room with needed supplies (suction, oxygen).
• Administer contrast media per medication guidelines.
