Job summary

Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA is seeking a PRN CT Technologist to join our radiology team. You will perform CT imaging, follow established protocols, and ensure patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include assisting the radiologist, using Meditech and PACS for orders and verifications, and upholding HIPAA compliance while delivering high-quality patient care. ARRT CT certification and BLS are required within set timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT CT Certification required within 6 months of hire.
• American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to obtain quality CT images and follow scanning protocols.
• Complies with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self.
• Operates CT scanner safely and competently and ensures proper charges in Meditech.
• Renders professional patient care and maintains confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Prepares exam rooms, monitors supplies, and maintains room cleanliness.
• Assists radiologist with procedures and administering contrast agents as needed.
• Reviews exams for technical accuracy and documents in PACS.
• Supports PACS cleanup and image verification tasks.
• Maintains ongoing personal education requirements.
