Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a PRN CT Technologist to perform CT exams with a focus on safety, accuracy, and patient care. You will operate CT equipment, verify patient identity, and document imaging data.

Requires ARRT CT certification and Iowa license, BLS, and ongoing training. Prior CT experience preferred; will supervise students per policy. This is an hourly, on-site PRN role with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Competent with diagnostic x-ray equipment.
• Competent with Computed Tomography equipment and scanning.
• Experience using department information systems and PACS.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams per protocol with minimal radiation exposure.
• Explain prep and procedure to patients and families.
• Verify patient identity and exam details; review history for appropriateness.
• Establish IV access for contrast as needed.
• Supervise students and train staff while maintaining safety standards.
