Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a CT technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures, prepare patients, administer contrast, and produce high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to safety and ALARA standards. You will educate patients, document procedures in the EMR, and collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to ensure accurate, timely imaging services.

Minimum one to three years of CT experience is preferred; trainees and new graduates may be considered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• 1–3 years CT technologist experience preferred; trainees/new graduates considered.
• ARRT Radiography registration required; CT registration within 2 years of hire; Wisconsin license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic CT procedures and techniques.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as appropriate.
• Reviews clinical history with radiologist and ensures correct scan is ordered.
• Provides patient education.
• Assists radiologist with interventional procedures as needed.
• Adheres to ALARA principles and safety standards.
• Documents CT procedures in EMR and submits data for physician review.
• Operates CT scanner and power injector to create diagnostic images.
