Job Summary
This position performs Computed Tomography (CT) scans to create cross-sectional images of tissues and internal organs to be used by physicians in diagnosis and treatment of patients.

- Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.
- Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required.
- Registered CT Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB(CT)) in Computed Tomography.
- One of the following along with documented training on the provision of diagnostic CT exams:
- Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) or
- Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist by ARRT-N or
- Certified by NMTCB.
- Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
- Minimum of one year of experience as a CT Technologist or two years as a Radiological Technologist with CT education or experience, preferred.
- Ability to lift and maneuver patients in conjunction with others.
- Principal Accountabilities
- Performs CT scans: prepares patients, explains procedures, administers contrast, positions patients, selects imaging techniques, and ensures scan quality.
- Enters and monitors patient data.
- Performs quality assurance on CT equipment and may assist with accreditation applications.
- Reports accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions.
- May work weekends and float to other locations as needed.
- Ensures safe care, adheres to policies, manages time and supplies, and maintains productivity and quality.
- Supports professional growth, serves as preceptor and mentor, and contributes to department goals.
- Creates compassionate and personalized experiences, modeling Memorial Hermann’s service standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
