Job summary

Ray County Hospital And Healthcare in Alabama is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assess patients’ respiratory status, develop and implement individualized care plans, and administer therapies including aerosol medications, mechanical ventilation, and oxygen therapy. You will monitor responses to treatment, educate patients and families, conduct diagnostic tests, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes.

A valid Missouri license is required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid respiratory therapist license in the State of Missouri.
• Must have an associate's degree or higher in respiratory therapy from an accredited program.
• Must possess NBRC RRT certification.
• Must have a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably critical care or acute care.
• Must have a strong understanding of respiratory care protocols, equipment, and therapies.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities efficiently.
• Must possess current BLS certification throughout employment.
• Must earn ACLS and PALS within six (6) months of hire.
