Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab, part of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, has a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) opening at Battlefield Park Healthcare Center in Petersburg, VA. The role focuses on direct therapy delivery, improving residents' independence and participation in daily activities, and collaborating with an in-house therapy team.

Responsibilities include treatment implementation, staff education, and family involvement while adhering to documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) education, obtained in an accredited two-year associate degree program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License.

Responsibilities

• Helps clients improve their quality of life by helping them compensate for limitations and re-enter the labor force.
• Implements treatment plans through direct treatment and collaboration with the Occupational Therapist, including training other staff and involving families.
• Ensures documentation meets rehab department and facility requirements under supervision, with opportunity to serve multiple locations.
