PruittHealth is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for PRN coverage in Estill, KY. You will assist in implementing the therapy plan, document progress, and support the care team under supervision. This role emphasizes patient-focused care and compliance with state practice acts.

Qualifications

• Active state license as a COTA in the practice state.
• Graduate of ACOTE-accredited program; eligible to take NBCOT
• Commitment to patient-centered care and safety in post-acute settings.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the execution of the occupational therapy care plan under supervision.
• Perform clinical tasks and document progress timely and accurately.
• Follow established policies and procedures related to scope of practice.
• Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care.
• Complete orientation, in-services, and trainings.
• Perform other related duties as directed by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of the occupational therapy care plan and treatment to patients as prescribed by the evaluating therapist and physician according to the State Practice Acts
• Perform clinical tasks, and communicate and document tasks in a timely and accurate manner
• Follow established policies and procedures as related to the scope of practice
• Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care
• Complete all required orientation, in-services, and trainings successfully
• Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor

Qualifications

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Valid professional license in the state of practice
• Graduate of ACOTE accredited school and eligible to take or has passed the NBCOT exam. If foreign-trained, must meet the same qualifications as U.S. educational program requirements
