Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System at Pearland Hospital is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide routine OT treatments under the supervision of a licensed OT, document progress, and guide patients and caregivers. The role includes supervising rehabilitation technicians and assisting with program development.

The position supports students and interns, helps with department operations, and may require weekend/holiday coverage with some weekday training/orientation during the week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OTA or OT program.
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of an OT.
• Supervises rehabilitation technicians with regard to patient care.
• Documents findings, progress and instruction to patients and caregivers.
• Assists with program development and department operations.
• Assists leadership or Level III with department operations.
