The PRN Correctional Nurse (LPN or RN) provides part-time flexible nursing care within a correctional facility, delivering patient assessments, medication administration, and emergency interventions under state and facility guidelines. This role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to treatment plans, and maintaining a safe environment for inmates. Location: Halifax County Jail

Open Position: PRN LPN or RN

Schedule: PRN Days 12 hr shifts

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Deliver patient care, evaluate symptoms, reactions, and progress, chart results, establish nursing plans, and work within the boundaries of State Scope of Practice and Guidelines, and Physician/Provider(s)
• Administer prescribed medications according to nursing standards & correctional regulations
• Follow established treatment plans
• Perform emergency interventions, physical assessments, and critical thinking
