Job summary

NaphCare is hiring PRN LPNs to join our team at the Pasco County Detention Center in Land O' Lakes, Florida. As a Correctional Nurse, you will work with correctional officers and medical staff to provide comprehensive care to residents in a controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Actively state-certified as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
• Must possess an active BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association required)
• Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to facility policies and laws

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and document health history
• Take vital signs and monitor patient status
• Provide wound care and administer medications
• Maintain medical records in TechCare EHR
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid
• Educate patients and plan discharges
