Job summary

AVIR Health Group is seeking a PRN Dietary Cook to join our family-focused team in Grand Saline, Texas. The role prepares and cooks high-quality foods for residents, guests, and staff, following state health regulations and facility standards.

You will support modified diets and dietary needs while maintaining appeal and quality. Walk-ins are welcome daily, with competitive pay and benefits including health insurance for families, 401k matching, paid holidays and PTO, and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

We are searching for a PRN Dietary Cook that is resident, and family-focused, a team builder, and excited about the opportunity to assist in building a facility culture. The purpose of this role is to prepare and cook high-quality foods for all regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests, and employees. Ensure all preparation and cooking strictly adheres to State Department of Health Rules and Regulations and established facility standards.
