Job summary

Youth Villages in Tennessee seeks a PRN Community-Based Specialist to support youth and families in their homes and communities. You will carry a small caseload, conduct weekly sessions, assess needs from a strength-focused perspective, and collaborate with schools, courts, and other providers to build coordinated treatment plans.

This role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a social services discipline, a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel up to 60–80

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a social services discipline (preferred/required).
  • Current valid driver's license, automobile for work purposes, and proof of auto insurance.
  • Experience with at-risk youth and families, volunteer/intern/paid positions acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Carries a small caseload assigned by supervisor on an as-needed basis.
  • Holds individual and family sessions weekly, scheduled with families.
  • Assesses youth needs from a strength-focused, solution-based perspective.
  • Attends weekly meetings for professional development and booster trainings.
  • Travels up to 60–80 miles to meet families in homes and communities.
  • Collaborates with providers, case workers, and courts to formulate treatment plans.
  • Provides on-call crisis support to youth and family.
  • Completes documentation in an EMR system.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Master’s degree in a social services discipline
Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline
Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Basic computer knowledge
Valid driver’s license and automobile for work
