Job description

Job Title: PRN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Home Health Aide (HHA)
Shift: 2 PM - 10 PM
Location: Baker Place Senior Living, Vineland NJ
Employment Type: PRN (as needed)

Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and/or Home Health Aides (HHA) to join our healthcare team for the 2 PM to 10 PM shift. The ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care, enhancing the well-being of our residents, and assisting them in daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including grooming, bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in resident conditions to the supervising nurse.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive and comforting environment.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties, meal preparation, and medication reminders as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident environments, ensuring a safe and hygienic space.
- Follow care plans and respect resident dignity and confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Participate in training sessions and continuing education to maintain skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) in New Jersey.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, but not mandatory.
- CPR and First Aid certifications are desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and families.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening as per facility policies.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
