Job summary

Hillsboro Health in Illinois is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist patients with activities of daily living and maintain a safe, clean environment under RN/LPN supervision. Shifts may vary and include weekends and holidays.

The ideal candidate reads, writes and communicates in English, follows directions, and has or is pursuing CNA certification. CPR certification and Illinois state exam completion are preferred; background check is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must have the ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• CNA experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living to promote comfort and safety.
• Take and record vital signs, height, weight, intake/output as applicable.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in patient rooms and work areas.
• Notify nurse of changes in patient's condition promptly.
• Assist with daily, weekly, monthly cleaning of equipment and areas.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient, hospital, and physician information.
