Job summary

Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, part of Foundation Health Partners, seeks a PRN unit support person to assist in daily patient care, data collection, and documentation. You will support nursing staff with charting, supplies, and coordination of patient flow on the unit.

Requires strong organizational skills, a high school diploma or GED, and current BLS. CNA licensure may be required in certain areas; prior clerical or hospital experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Current BLS certification.
• Current CNA license in state of practice may be required.
• Prior hospital/clinic clerical experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and basic hygiene.
• Collect patient data: vital signs, input/output, borders of data per policy.
• Communicate changes in patient status to licensed professionals.
• Perform delegated procedures and support duties under supervision.
• Provide receptionist/clerical support to ensure smooth unit operations.
• Maintain patient records with admissions, transfers, discharges, progress notes.
• Label and store charting forms and manage supplies and equipment.
