Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking Certified Medical Assistants for PRN shifts in Florida. The role supports clinical exams and procedures, maintains patient flow, and assists the department as needed.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma or GED, with CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA certification within one year of transfer or completion of an MA program. Candidates should hold BLS certification; hospital or clinic MA experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

Summary Medical Assistants are essential members of the clinic team. They contribute to the healthcare of patients by assisting with exams and procedures, organizing and managing patient flow, and taking on other responsibilities based on the needs of the department.

Or, if a current Moffitt Medical Assistant, must receive Certification from one of the above organizations within one year of date of transfer. *In lieu of CMA, successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program; or Applicable Military Medical Training; or Students who are actively enrolled in a BSN program, have completed nursing fundamentals and can provide proof of enrollment at the beginning of every semester.

Training Required: Salary Range $24.50 - $24.50 Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
