Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant Float Mobile PRN to support exams and procedures and manage patient flow across the Moffitt Ambulatory Center. The role requires flexibility to rotate across units and travel to assigned campuses as needed.

Candidates should have a minimum high school diploma with preferred MA training; BLS certification is required, with CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA credentials or within one year of transfer to the role.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certification or Registration from CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA is required or will be earned within 1 year

Summary

Medical Assistants are essential members of the clinic team. They contribute to the healthcare of patients by assisting with exams and procedures, organizing and managing patient flow, and taking on other responsibilities based on the needs of the department. Incumbents will be utilized in different units within the MAC (Moffitt Ambulatory Center) to ensure quality patient care and appropriate staffing needs are met. will rotate to different units within the MAC (Moffitt Ambulatory Center) in all assigned outpatient clinics or other designated patient care areas. *Must commit to traveling to various Moffitt Cancer Center campuses (Moffitt Ambulatory Centers & Moffitt Clinics), as needed.

Education

• Minimum Education Level: High School Diploma/GED
• Preferred Education Level: Associate's Degree
• Preferred Education Notes: Successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program; or Applicable Military Medical Training; or Students who are actively enrolled in a BSN program, have completed nursing fundamentals and can provide proof of enrollment at the beginning of every semester.

Licensure and Certification

Salary Range
