Job Summary

The Research Assistant (RA) supports Clinical Research Coordinators, Site Managers, Investigators, and staff in compliance with GCP, ICH, HIPAA, FDA regulations, and SOPs. The RA performs clinical, laboratory, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth site operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with screening, patient follow-ups, and documentation according to study protocols.
  • Obtain vital signs, ECGs, and perform blood draws.
  • Conduct basic lab procedures, manage specimens, and coordinate medical record requests.
  • Maintain logs, charts, and ensure timely review of study reports and patient results.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma with 1+ year of administrative/clinical experience.
  • Phlebotomy experience is required.
  • Preferred: 1+ year in clinical research or clinical settings.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications, data entry, and typing (40+ WPM).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, and maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
